Redmi Note 5 Specification

Xiaomi is speculated to launch the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphones in this week before November 11. Now ahead of launch, if Chinese website MyDrivers is to be 

believed, Xiaomi would soon start teasing the alleged Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphones.

Both the smartphones are rumoured to feature 18:9 aspect ratio supporting screens.  The company is also speculated to announce the Redmi Note 5 smartphone next month 

in December. Both the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi 5 Plus are said to come with dual camera setup while the Redmi 5 is expected to arrive with a single camera.

As per earlier leaks, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus smartphone is said to feature a 5.9-inch full HD+ display with a possible 18:9 aspect ratio, and a Snapdragon 625 SoC or 

Snapdragon 630 SoC. It will possibly launch in two variants of 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The smartphone is expected to sport a dual 

rear camera setup, which could be a combination of a 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras. The smartphone will run Android 7.1.2 Nougat based MIUI 9 and it will be 

backed up by 4000 mAh battery. The 32 GB version of the Redmi 5 Plus is expected to be priced at 99 Yuan (~$150) while 64 GB variant is rumoured to arrive with a 

pricing of 1,299 Yuan (~$195).

As far as specifications of Xiaomi Redmi 5 are concerned, it will feature a 5.7-inch display that supports HD+ resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels along with support for 

18:9 aspect ratio. It is reported to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. For the camera, the smartphone is said to feature a rear 

camera of 12-megapixel. However, a previous report has suggested that the device will feature a rear camera of 8-megapixel and front camera of 6-megapixel. The 3GB RAM 

with 16GB internal memory variant of the Redmi 5 will be priced at 799 Yuan and its 3GB RAM with 32GB internal memory will cost 899 Yuan ($136).
